Still not over the tragedy from yesterday…but I don’t think we’re meant to get over events like that completely. I’m just glad to be home with my hubby and my dogs, able to hug and kiss them…and bake Christmas cookies.
Of course this means I need to smile because those cookies need to taste like joy, not tears…. So, for me, the first step is to bring on the music. Shocker, right? But not just any music…Christmas music!
So, here is one of my favorite Christmas songs, “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, done on one of my favorite TV shows, GLEE..by one of my favorite Pinoy Mestisos (kinda like me)…Darren Criss. I’m really hoping that his character and Kurt’s find their way back to each other…they were one of the sweetest couples on TV before the show decided to split them up. Darren Criss is just so uber talented!!!
So tell me, what is your favorite Christmas song from a TV episode or Movie? (By the way…my all time favorite Christmas movie is White Christmas)
And now, here are Blaine and Kurt (before they got together) singing…”Baby It’s Cold Outside”!
You’re right … life has to go … cookies and music is good start. Evil can win. I like this song too – but I prefer with Tom Jones.

C’est la vie…. To each their own. 😉 I lost interest in Tom Jones about the time it was discovered that he liked to stuff socks down his pants.

I really like that song from the Christmas special Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, but I can never remember the title. It’s the song that explains how Rudolph got his gig. The name is on the tip of my tongue…

Oh, yes…I believe I’m familiar with that one… That Rudolph knows how to come through in a pinch!

Especially now that he’s gotten over his broken nose. I was trembling when I wrote those stories for my blog. I’m so happy the surgery was a success!

Kitt – I’ve always loved music but this Christmas season it’s becoming more important than ever. I love the Christmas specials on TV and they’ve never held much interest for me before and now I can’t seem to get enough. I’m also discovering I’m enjoying country music more and I stumbled onto Jim Brickman’s new Christmas CD – loving it.

Jim Brickman anything is great, Sheri! 🙂 I’m definitely a big fan…and Amy Grant has a magic touch with Christmas music. Love her, too.

Vince Gill’s rendition of “What Child Is This” and any of “Winter Wonderland” before my oldest passed we sang this to one another every year. It was our Christmas gift to each other.

I LOVE White Christmas!! I’ve gotten away from the specials and music the past few years but also love the Glee version of the song.
The Rudolph special has always been my favorite. Muppets Christmas Carol a very close second. Merry Christmas!

Love that song, though…don’t kill me…not a huge fan of that movie. I’ve watched it a couple of times trying to like it, too…. 😦 but lots of people I love like that movie.

I won’t kill you 🙂 Love Actually for me is a feel good film, but I also like how it shows how difficult Christmas is for some people. Not everyone has a happy ending in the film.

My favorite Christmas movie is also “White Christmas,” and I think my favorite song from that movie is the “Snow” song… “It won’t be long before we’ll all be there with snow…” Not necessarily a “Christmas” song, though. I’m also very fond of the “Sisters” act.
