What I Brought Back

bringing-sexy-back

Unlike Justin Timberlake, I feel no need to bring sexy back…mostly because I never thought it was lost.

Sexy is something intangible that lives inside each and every one of us…. Often, all it really takes is tapping into our innermost thoughts and fantasies.

Desire is another story all together. Sometimes we need some poking and prodding…and some good directions to help us Bring Back Desire…. Today, Ande Lyons has invited me to share some of my thoughts on ways to make this happen by repurposing a post I wrote a little while back…with a bit of a Bring Back Desire twist.

Stop by and say hi! We’d love the company…and to hear your thoughts on our chosen subject for the day. You guys aren’t the slightest bit shy, so I’m sure you’ll have plenty to contribute. I, for one, can’t wait to get your thoughts.

In the meantime…. (And I’d love to hear about when this happened to you) Ever found yourself in a situation where you were in denial about what was really going on?

Ladies (or maybe guys, too)…ever found yourself dating a guy and wondering how that happened? You guys were just hanging out…ALL THE TIME…and he paid… But you kind of thought you were just friends until someone said something?

Guys…ever had a friend make a comment about how he didn’t realize you and your girlfriend had moved in together and you said he was wrong…only to look around and realize her toothbrush was next to yours in the bathroom, that she had a couple of drawers in your bureau and clothes in your closet…her shampoo in your shower…and she really didn’t go “home” much anymore?

Then you’ll really appreciate the humor in this video… and don’t forget to check out my guest post at Bring Back Desire!

I’m sitting in a library, or I would be howling at that video! At our house, we’ve called it HBO Porn for years, commenting on how many people will watch Peter Balish train his hookers on Game of Thrones, telling themselves that it’s mainstream so it’s not porn.

Thanks for my friday laugh!! First of all, I love the meme about bringing sexy back…when “I’m right here, I never even left.” LOVE IT! And the video, PERFECT! I’m heading over to check out your guest post now. 🙂

LMFAO! Soft-core HBO should be REQUIRED viewing, dialog, and role-playing for every single American in college…or premarital or post-dating counseling — no matter what “conservative” affiliation you might belong! Get it done! And so here’s the REAL question:

Do you want to be as good as you can be, not just for yourself, but the one(s) you love, the one(s) your PASSIONATE about?

It’s not rocket science and no one is just “born with it”. 😉

I don’t know…everyone has natural gifts & talents. 😉 Sure, they always need to be built and honed, but I expect sex is like everything….some are better at it than others. Some can be taught to be very good…and others come by it honestly. 😉

I do agree that everyone should be educated about options & variety, though.

Hmm, if speaking just in “general” Kitt, across a broad spectrum of relational aspects, then I would kind of agree. In a specific regard however, for instance with myself, I was not “born with” nor mentored(?) by a role-model (my USMC father) say in the art of quality non-sexual affection due to that environment. Thank the gods of eros though that my mother’s DNA was highly affectionate and passionate. I eventually learned how to be much better at it and partially because the genetics were there; they simply needed teasing-out in comfortable, non-judging, fun exploring situations…FREQUENTLY! Then it was a whirlwind! lol

My point? All areas of our person — including sexuality-sensuality savvy — can be refined, perhaps even turned into “earth-shattering” passion, eros, as well as “love”. But the courage to DO those initial steps with high determination must be there too. 🙂

Wine for cats, that’s all I need. A drunk cat spending more time sleeping or passed out on my bed. The video was excellent, HBO does get a little too close to the line but what are all the lonely guys going to watch. Can’t wait for Monday and Holmes post.

    • Kitt Crescendo says:

Shoot, since they rarely show the male “money shot” I’ve always expected that they make those things for the lonely (and horny) females who are just dying for some bold man to approach them with an offer of a little companionship. 😉

Oh my goodness! That video totally cracked me up. Because I remember watching one episode of True Blood and saying, “This is like one shade away from porn. How do they get legitimate actors to do this on screen?!!!” Now, I know.
