Continuing the #AttitudeOfGratitude through December

I think the first time I saw this particular gift giving idea was on Facebook… Maybe last year. I thought it was a cool idea. This year hubby and I are actually in a position (despite all the horribleness that has been 2020) to follow through…

Although I do enjoy receiving gifts, nothing makes me happier than giving to others. There’s something about the way faces light up. The joy of discovering someone cared enough to go out of their way for you. Or maybe it’s a language that tells a person….YOU ARE LOVED.

All I know is it works for me. Making others feel valued and happy makes me happy.

Maybe that’s why this Jackson 5 song has been a personal favorite of mine since my childhood.

Give Love by The Incredible Jackson 5

No Greater Gift Is There Than Love

All the fun holiday music is making me nostalgic for my youth. One of my favorite Christmas albums growing up was the Jackson 5 Christmas. There was such a youthful joy and exuberance in how Michael and his brothers sang back then.

It only seemed right that I include them in my daily holiday celebration music with this all time favorite…

The message is perfect for this time of year…a reminder that the holiday is not about commercialism, but the people. Did you have a favorite album as a child?

And while you’re at it…if you’re looking for some loving (and sexy) stocking stuffer ideas for your beloved…check out some of the Girl Boner solutions on August McLaughlin’s blog!

Give Love–Not Just On Christmas Day

I have writer’s group tonight…our Christmas party, so I’ve been baking and stuff for the last few days…and especially today. This means I haven’t had time to write my blog for the day…and I refuse to just call it in.

So, while I’m at my writer’s meeting I’m going to leave you with one of the songs from one of my all time favorite Christmas albums growing up.

Regardless of what you may think about Michael Jackson’s life…there is one undisputed fact.  He was ultra talented, musically speaking.

Love the message, too…Give Love…but don’t limit yourselves to Christmas day…Life is too short!
