My Dark Prince

20121031-165211.jpg

You call to me
In dead of night,
Your innocent lover,
Woman in white.

I feel compelled,
Invite you in,
Feel your power,
Taste your sin.

You gain your entry
Through my eyes.
Command my body,
Mesmerize.

Hunger flows
Within my vein,
Throbs for you
In sweet refrain.

Your dark desire
Leaves me bare,
A lamb caught in
The lion’s snare.

My heart races,
Draws you near
Hot seduction
And mingled fear.

I close my eyes
In painful bliss.
You pierce my skin
With passion’s kiss.

In honor of Halloween and my return from our short Texas vacation, I wrote this piece… And ode of sorts to the amazingly sexy vampires and the sensual way they fire my imagination. Do you have a favorite creature that gets your juices flowing even though he’s one of those creatures that goes bump in the night? What about him/her seduces you? What is your favorite scary movie to watch on Halloween? Who do you think the sexiest vampire on tv and in movies is? My personal favorite is Alex O’Loughlin as Mick St. John from Moonlight, though Ian Somerhalder is a close second for his work on Vampire Diaries as Damon Salvatore.

Happy Halloween, everyone! I plan on enjoying it with my family. My sister, her hubby and their dog are in town to visit. Yay! Hope we get lots of Trick or Treaters this year. We have lots of candy to give away…and chili cooking in the crock pot for dinner!

Thanks, Katie! I’ve never done vampire/horror figure poetry before. In fact, I don’t think I’ve written vampires or any supernatural characters in my story writing, either. I’ve never actually watched True Blood… :-/

Love the poem Kitt! Vamps are my all time favorite as well. They are just too sexy. All that power and confidence make me squirm. Damon is definitely my #1, with Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood in a very close 2nd. 🙂 Happy Halloween

Love this poem Kitt… and welcome back from vacation!
Ditto to what L.J. said. Eric from True Blood… but #1 goes to Damon from Vampire Dairies. Whoa he is so, so sexy.
And… I think I’ll cook me some chili this weekend, thanks for the craving 🙂

Great poem….! Actually…I like the victims more when watching the vampire films/dramas! I used to adore Buffy though, when very young…I think you caught the strange ‘innocence’ very, very well in your wonderful poem, the sweet lamb who beckons to the vampire..! Do you know, you may have awakened a fantasy in me! Now, when’s that love of my life coming back from her trip again…?! Actually she’s coming back from Bulgaria, right next to Transylvania, true vampire county, I know!

Thanks! And yes, in many vampire movies, the victims are the more likeable ones. I’m glad I was able to capture that strange innocence that draws the vampire.
Sounds like you are gonna have a lot of fun playing out your fantasy when your lady gets back from vampire country! 🙂

Oh I love Alex O’Loughlin in his film Moonlight! I hate that they stop making that movie, it was so interesting. Your poem is so vampire-y and sexy just like your gravatar pic 🙂

Me, too! I was definitely disappointed when they discontinued that show, but am glad he is at least back on tv through Hawaii 5-0. Thanks for the compliments about my poem and the gravatar pic. 🙂
